At a certain stage of booting, a message (ncurses-like) appears saying that
there is no cdrom and asking to choose a module to load. I select ata_piix. Then
it continues successfully.

An unexperienced user couldn't do that.

Also, finding the module in the list is burdensome: the list is huge and not
alphabetically sorted. Perhaps, grouping into sublists according to the
categories of the modules could make it better.
