Changelog of NVIDIA drivers 1.0-4191 tells that they are disabling hardware XRENDER acceleration by default with this release; setting it back on is somewhat non-trivial for average user. It could make sense to add this line to XF86Config-4\'s Section \"Device\" when configuring for Driver \"nvidia\": # Option \"RenderAccel\" \"on\" --- --- One more nifty thing (of bells\'n\'whistles kind) would be to put # Option \"CursorShadow\" \"on\" # Option \"CursorShadowAlpha\" \"32\" # Option \"CursorShadowXOffset\" \"2\" # Option \"CursorShadowYOffset\" \"2\" there too: it\'s encouraging when config file shows some nice things you can do with it (=> your system). :-)
