C ATI radeon Xpress 200M в инсталляторе стала вылазить надпись поверх 
изображения "Unsupported hardware"

Либо не использовать fglrx для него, либо выключить эту надпись (не знаю, 
возможно ли)

Возможно, стоит проверить данное поведение с версией 8.40.4, которая уже есть в
сизифе.

Хотя, на ATI radeon Xpress 200M с 8.40.4 все равно этот квадрат есть

Это бага упаковки fglrx_glx, туда ещё надо fglrx-tools или /etc/ati/...
Исправлено в 4.0/branch и, кажется, бетах Desktop 4.0.1.
